Please respond to all five of these questions:
1) Please provide a brief autobiography, focusing especially on key moments or
transitions in your spiritual life and your personal rule of life. Please include critical
moments that have helped you become the priest you are today.
2) What gifts and skills would you bring to this Diocese?
3) There is s growing movement in TEC as well as in other parts of the Anglican
Communion, to openly give Communion to unbaptized persons. Do you believe this is
a positive development? Why or why not?
4) We live in a time when our culture is abandoning traditional sexual mores and
moving toward a new and more "open" view of sexuality, although this movement is not
without significant resistence. At the same time, The Episcopal Church appears to be
moving toward the full acceptance of both the blessing of same gender unions (or
marriages) and the ordination of non-celibate homosexual persons to all orders of
ministry. Please describe your views on these matters, the Biblical, historical and
theological foundations for those views, and how you would seek to lead a diocese in
such times.
5) The Diocese of Central Florida is committed to being a vibrant and active part of
The Episcopal Church, and at the same time, most of our clergy and lay leaders are
significantly more "conservative" or "traditional" than the majority of the leadership of
TEC. What do you believe should be the guiding principles of the relationship between
this Diocese and TEC?

significant, what do you think will be the greatest challenges and opportunities for the
Christian Church over the next decade and how would you address them as a bishop?

you respond, and how was the issue resolved? What are the principles by which you
seek to respond to conflict?
9) How might you respond if a friend who was not a practicing Christian
approached you and said, "What would I have to do to be a Christian, and why would I
want to do it?"
